Why the Name
In Louisiana, a roux is where the best dishes start. To get it right, you have to slow down. No shortcuts, no rushing the process. The time it takes and the color it turns depend entirely on what you're making, and that's true of good work too. Some tasks move fast. Some ideas take longer to cook. Roux Carré gives you room for both.
Carré means the “square,” the place where people gather. It's where ideas get passed around a table, where community forms over a shared pot of coffee, and where collaboration turns into something real. One room, set for seating up to 12, flexible enough to flip into theater seating for 20. Coworking, content creation, podcasting, meetings, studying, a wedding, or a celebration that needs a picturesque backdrop. Wifi that keeps up, a printer when you need it, and a coffee bar that never runs dry, stocked with everything from a simple brewed cup to espresso and refreshers.
Step outside and you're under oak trees draped in Spanish moss, the kind of backdrop that turns a workday break or a wedding photo into something worth remembering.
